In 2014, the Collège des Sœurs des Saints Cœurs Byblos celebrated its 125th anniversary. In March 1863, Sister Barbara Khalil opened a small school in Jbeil, where young girls came to learn reading, writing, and catechism. Various events slowed down or interrupted the activities of the congregation for several years. Therefore, the Collège des Sœurs des Saints Cœurs de Jbeil was officially established in 1889.
